Disney World loosening up the ‘Disney Look’ for cast members
For years Disney has been known for having cast members maintain certain appearance standards to keep a “friendly, classic appearance.” Now, Disney World is loosening up those standards, just a bit.
According to a number of fan sites, beginning Oct. 28, 2019, cast members will be able to wear a single bracelet and a single necklace, including a pendant an inch or less in size.
In addition, cast members will also be to grow facial hair to an inch and can have visible stubble while it is growing.
When Disney first allowed any beard growth, back in 2012, cast members could not have any stubble and needed to grow their bear on vacation. In addition, the beard was limited to a quarter inch.
The Disney Look was designed with our costumed and non-costumed cast members in mind. “Regardless of the position you hold with us, when you take pride in your appearance, you become a role model for those around you, and you convey the attitude of excellence that has become synonymous with the Disney name,” according to the Disney Careers site.
