What you can and can not wear when visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Everyone loves their Star Wars attire and when visiting Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World why no show it off. Well, you may not be able to.

When the land opens on Aug. 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and as has been the case at Disneyland, there are some limitations in dress.

Those 13 and under are welcome to weather costumes for their visit. This includes masks, as long as they provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times.

But there are limitations for the older kids, that’s for everyone 14 and older (including your Star Wars obsessed Uncle Owen and Aunt Rey). Costumes and masks may not be worn by those 14 and older, except if there are special events and those rules will be made available if and when they occur.

The reason is obvious. There is only one Kylo Ren (and John, it ain’t you) there are First Order Stormtroopers patrolling as well as other characters and Disney does not want mix ups to take place.

That being said, Disney is encouraging the older kids to do some Star Warsbounding (for lack of a better term). Whether you prefer the First Order, the Resistance, smugglers or even a droid, you can wear outfits inspired by their looks.

If you want to fit in like a local, you can use choose clothing that fits the color palette – muted earth tones and focus on natural materials with a rugged, handmade look.

Disney has created these two graphics to help you to remember.
