Moana inspired attraction coming to Epcot, other Epcot news announced

The first-ever attraction based on the Disney film “Moana” will be coming to Epcot, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek announced on the eve of D23 Expo 2019 in Anaheim.

The ride called Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” is described as having guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting. Concept art has also been released.

In addition, Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion will open in October.

The new experience will have interactive exhibits illustrating the future of Epcot and see some never-before-revealed details driving the future of Epcot all throughout this major period of transformation.

Chapek is expected to make more major announcements about the future of the Disney Parks around the world during the parks panel on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m. PT / 1:30 p.m. ET.
