When these limited-time experiences will end at Disney World this summer
Summer brings a number of special shows, experiences and character meetings that last for only a few months.
Come the end of August and September many of these experiences are go away. But there is still plenty of time to catch what’s still around.
Here’s a look at what will be going away in the next couple of months and some that will be staying longer than you might thought.
Magic Kingdom
Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration will close on Sept. 30, 2019. But there is still time to
- Meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse together – in special celebratory outfits – in Town Square Theater.
- Discover seldom-seen Disney friends at the flagpole in Town Square.
- Meet Mickey’s loyal dog, Pluto, under the big top at Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus.
“Move it! Shake it! MousekeDance it! Street Party” will continue to take place daily, giving Guests a chance to dance with favorite Disney pals in front of Cinderella Castle.
Epcot
Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! which takes guests on a musical journey through the cosmos with Star-Lord and Gamora at the America Gardens Theatre will close August 18, 2019.
“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” the nighttime spectacular that has been around for 20 years at the World Showcase Lagoon will close Sept. 30, 2019.
Hollywood Studios
“The Super Shindig” dance party at Pixar Place with Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone will close Sept. 30, 2019.
Edna Mode will continue to greet Guests at Pixar Place until further notice.
Animal Kingdom
“Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party,” will end Sept. 30, 2019.
Lion King Scavenger Hunt, in the Harambe Village section where you find your favorite Lion King characters hidden around the area will end on Sept. 28, 2019.
DISNEY SPRINGS
DescenDANCE Party celebrating the summer release of “Descendants 3” will take place at the Marketplace Stage from July 26 through August 11, 2019.
