See what’s closing this fall, winter during Epcot’s major makeover

The next big phase of refurbishment work at Epcot will take place between Spaceship Earth and the World Showcase Promenade starting in September.

This will mean that offerings at and around the Fountain of Nations, including the fountain, will be temporarily relocated or closed.

Currently, the Leave a Legacy monoliths are being removed and the area to be re-landscaped. In addition, the entrance is being reconfigured as the security perimeter is being changed. 

Here is everything that will be closed during the next few months. Specific dates have not yet been announced by Disney, unless otherwise noted.

Art of Disney: The store will operate temporarily from a new location while refurbishment is underway. Heritage Manor at the American Adventure will later become the new home for Art of Disney offerings.

Epcot Character Spot: This location will close Sept. 8, 2019. As this takes place character meetings will take place at new locations around Epcot.

Club Cool: The place to cool down and get a Coke will close on Sep.t 8. Club Cool will reopen in a new capacity at a future merchandise location.

Innoventions East: Innoventions East, Colortopia and Nanooze Break are scheduled to close on Sept. 8, 2019.

Pin Central: This location will close while refurbishment is underway. The Camera Center will close this fall to become a new home for Pin Central.

Electric Umbrella: This quick-service restaurant will close in the winter. New dining options will be available in the future, featuring a variety of food and beverage selections.

Fountain View: Fountain View featuring Starbucks will relocate to a temporary location in late Fall.

Mouse Gear: This store will move to a temporary home this winter while its current location is reimagined.

Fountain of Nations: The huge fountain in between Mouse Gear and Fountain View will close on Sept. 8 as well.
