Disney World tourist upset over not having a FastPass for Tower of Terror, punches worker, report states
Walt Disney World issued a lifetime ban to a Chicago tourist who punched a cast member in the face at the Tower of Terror because the tourist and her group did not have a FastPass for the attraction, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.
The July 13, 2019 attack took place in the pre-show area when the woman and the people she was with were upset their FastPasses were not valid for the Hollywood Studios ride, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s report cited by the Orlando Sentinel.
The cast member offered to help, but the group became angrier and more vocal. The worker called for a supervisor when the woman “began pushing buttons on her ride podium,” according to the report.
The worker asked the woman to stop. When she did not, the worker went to push the woman’s hand away from the buttons. That’s when the woman punched the worker in the face, the Sentinel reported.
The group left the attraction, but was soon found by security.
The worker, whose eye started to swell, declined to press charges.
Disney, however, decided to level the ban saying they do not tolerate such behavior.
The popular Tower of Terror ride offers a 13-story drop sequence that is randomized.
