O Canada! film closing in August for theater, film upgrades

O Canada!, the Circle-Vision 360 film in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot will be closing this August for refurbishment.

Disney previously announced that the film and theater would be getting an update. The movie was filmed mostly in 1981 and has been running since with some updates made in 2007.

The film will close on Aug. 1, and while the projection system is being updated, the theater area and entryway will be used as a festival space for the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

The festival runs through Nov. 23, 2019. No announcement has been made as to when the theater will open with the updated film.
