Main Street Electrical Parade returning to Disneyland this summer

The fan favorite Main Street Electrical Parade with its “electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds” will return to Disneyland for a limited time this summer, Disney announced.

The parade, with its more than half million LED lights, was last at Disneyland for a seven-month run in 2017. This limited-time encore engagement is set to begin on Aug. 2 with nightly performances through Sept. 30.

The Main Street Electrical Parade made its world debut at Disneyland June 17, 1972, and later appeared at Disney Parks around the world, including, the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Disney California Adventure Park, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

Twenty-two floats illuminate the parade with 600,000 lights attached. Seven films are represented, “Alice in Wonderland,” “Cinderella,” “Peter Pan,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Pinocchio,” “Dumbo” and “Pete’s Dragon,” and 27 Disney characters can be seen in the parade.
