New Disney rain gear available online

Soon it will be summer in Florida — the time of year when the temperature tops 90 every day for months on end, only to be broken by almost-daily thunderstorms.

These storms have sold countless $5 ponchos and $10 umbrellas for Disney. But this year, Disney is upping its rain gear game, debuting a line of adorable ponchos, rain jackets and umbrellas. The ponchos are 10 times as cute — and 10 times the price, too. But once you pack these ponchos away and take them home, you may actually want to use them again.

The rain ponchos come in four sizes: XS-S; M-L; XL-XXL; and 1X-3X. The jackets come in standard women’s sizes (XS-3XL). The matching umbrellas are adult size, with a diameter of 40 inches.

A bit of Florida rain advice from a pro: You won’t need both a poncho or jacket and an umbrella. One or the other will do just fine — and you’ll have less to carry around for the 23 hours in a day when it’s not raining.
