New information on Disney World’s Riviera Resort pools released

Disney has slowly been teasing what will be coming to its 15th Disney Vacation Club – Riviera Resort – opening later this year. This time, they have released information on the new pool areas.

The new rendering shows the feature pool area called the Riviera Pool which will have the feel of being on the Southern European coast with lounge chairs featuring colorful sun umbrellas.

The kids interactive water play area, called the S’il Vous Play, has a fountain featuring characters from Disney’s “Fantasia” and draw inspiration from the public fountains throughout Europe. There is a nearby movie lawn for those night time poolside lounging view.

The quiet pool on property, called the At Beau Soleil pool, will have shaded seating areas nestled amidst a grove of tropical palm trees. The entire area will be surrounded by a lush green wall to create a semi-private experience.

The place to get some eats and drinks is the Bar Riva, an open-air pool bar with a seaside vibe to keep you in the European coast frame of mind.

The resort will also have a waterfront promenade where you will be able to enjoy views of the resort’s European-inspired landscapes and walk to the new  Disney Skyliner gondola station.

The Skyliner connect the Riviera to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, the Caribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation Resort and Pop Century Resort.
