‘The Lion King’ projections coming to Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life

The nightly Tree of Life projections at Animal Kingdom will change over the summer to honor the 25th anniversary of the “The Lion King.”

Starting Memorial Day weekend and appearing nightly through Sept. 30, 2019, the projections will feature music and animation paying tribute to the classic film.

The nightly projections normally take place every 10 minutes or so, either with the carved animals on the tree magically coming to life or short tales of the forests being told.

Some of the tales now include a young doe embarking n a journey, a love story between a pair of hummingbirds and a fox spreading gifts in a wintry forest.

The show is best viewed directly in front of the Tree of Life. It is a very small and concentrated area and it is made a lot tougher as people take photos and videos of the tree. But this is something worth sticking around for as the park closes.
