Disney to open new vacation club resort at the Polynesian in Disney World

Disney today confirmed that its next Disney Vacation Club resort will be at the Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
Construction of the Disney’s 13th Vacation Club property will begin next month and is expected to be complete in 2015, according to a Disney press release. In addition, other areas of the Polynesian will undergo refurbishment.
The resort is on the Monorail line next door to The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which is scheduled to open Oct. 23.
DVC opened in October 1991 and is approaching 200,000 member families.
