Disney World ride, attraction closings and refurbishments in October – December 2019

The last month of 2019 is here and the holiday seasons are in full swing.
This is also the time of year when Disney tries to keep all of the attractions up and operating, so you won’t find a lot of rides closing this season. Here’s what to expect this December and going into the early part of 2020.

Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World Railroad closed down starting Dec. 3, 2018. A train remains at the Main Street, U.S.A. station so people can get a closer look and photos. It is unknown when it will reopen. This is taking place as construction moves forward for the new Tron ride opening in Tomorrowland in 2021.
Splash Mountain will be closed for refurbishment starting Jan. 6, 2020 and reopening on Feb. 28, 2020.
EPCOT
Impressions de France is closed refurbishment. This will reopen in January 2020 with the addition of a Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along.
O Canada film closed for refurbishment. The film will open in January 2020.
The Liberty Inn restaurant at the American Adventure closed July 8 and will reopen later as the Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue.
Art of Disney: The store will operate temporarily from a new location while refurbishment is underway starting in mid-December. Heritage Manor at the American Adventure will later become the new home for Art of Disney offerings.
Pin Central: This location will close in January 2020 while refurbishment is underway. The Camera Center will close this fall to become a new home for Pin Central.

Electric Umbrella: This quick-service restaurant will close in the winter. New dining options will be available in the future, featuring a variety of food and beverage selections.
Mouse Gear: This will close this winter and move to a temporary home this winter while its current location is reimagined.
Test Track: This will close for refurbishment Jan. 13 – Feb. 26, 2020.
Hollywood Studios

Resorts and Other Locations
Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort close for expansion on August 26.
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort will be closed for refurbishment Jan. 19 – 27, 2020.
The McDonald’s near the All-Star Resort closed Oct. 30 for remodeling. The restaurant is scheduled to reopen in 2020.
Blizzard Beach
Now closed for refurbishment will reopen Jan. 5, 2020.
Typhoon Lagoon
Scheduled to close Jan. 13, 2020 for refurbishment and will reopen March 29, 2020.
