6 items to celebrate National Winnie the Pooh Day

Could there be a happier day than National Winnie the Pooh Day?

It’s a fabulous day to take a long walk in the woods — even if it’s blustery out! — and stay away from Heffalumps and Woozles.

We have author A.A. Milne to thank for the wonderful world of Pooh, which is why Milne’s Jan. 18 birthday is officially National Winnie the Pooh Day. Alan Alexander Milne was born in 1882. He was a noted playwright before the huge success of Pooh overshadowed all his previous work.

In honor of Pooh’s official day, we found six items that celebrate the whimsy, the love, and even the bravery of the silly old bear.

Of course, there’s another way to celebrate National Winnie the Pooh Day in a way befitting Pooh: You could do the impossible, by doing nothing all day.
