runDisney 2019-2020 race calendar released
The 2019-2020 race calendar by runDisney has been released.
The events now consist of four races at the Walt Disney Resort, one race at Disneyland Paris and two virtual races. At this point, no race looks to be returning to Disneyland yet in 2020.
There are still spots available for all of the Walt Disney World Marathon events in January 2019, for those interested.
Here’s a look at the races and when general registration begins.
Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon – Jan. 3 – March 31, 2019
Registration is now open. Participate from home. You can run, jog or walk on a treadmill or around the neighborhood to earn the exclusive medals and a finisher certificate.
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Jan. 9-13, 2019
There are plenty of spots still open for the various events being offered, including the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Kids Races, Goofy’s Race and Half Challenge, Dopey Challenge, and Disney Castaway Cay Challenge.
Princess Half Marathon Weekend – Feb. 21-24, 2019
There are still spaces available for the Half Marathon only. The 5K and 10K races are sold out. Kids Races are also still open.
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend – April 4 – 7, 2019
Space is still available for the 5K and the Half Marathon. The 10K race is sold out. Kids races are also available.
Virtual Running Shorts – June 1 – Aug. 31, 2019
There are three 5K runs over the summer. One in June, one in July and one in August. You can e-mail signup now, meaning you will be placed on the mailing list to be made aware when you can start signing up.
Disneyland Paris Run Weekend – Sept. 19 -22, 2019
If you’ve always wanted to run a race in France, this might be for you. There are 5K, 10K and Half Marathon races. But be aware registration is a bit different and participants who are not French are required to provide a medical certificate of “No contraindication to the practice of sport in competition, Athletics in competition, or running in competition.”
Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend – Oct. 31 – Nov. 3, 2019
General registration opens March 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. ET for the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Disney Two Course Challenge, Kids Races, Post Race Party and ChEAR Squad Package.

General registration opens April 16, 2019, at 10 a.m. ET for the various events being offered, including the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Kids Races, Goofy’s Race and Half Challenge, Dopey Challenge, and Disney Castaway Cay Challenge.
