Photos, Video: Liberty Square Riverboat returns at Disney World

After nearly a closed a year for refurbishment, the Liberty Square Riverboat again took on passengers today, Dec. 22, 2018, for a trip around the Rivers of America.

The ship has gotten a new paint job there were some refurbishments to the interior and a new boiler was placed on the ship.

Some of the scenes you come upon during the 17-minute journey has also had some minor work done, including some new effects in the burning cabin.

It was nice again to have a peaceful respite from the crowds of the theme park aboard the ship as it takes you past Harper’s Mill, an early American settlement, a Native American village, Wilson’s Cave Inn  and Fort Langhorn.

It’s also the only place to see some very different views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Haunted Mansion.
