Father Christmas at Epcot explains the UK’s role in Christmas traditions

The United Kingdom has given the world some of its best-known Christmas carols and traditions.

Father Christmas at the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot in Disney World, during the holiday season,  tells all of how the first Christmas card was designed by an English illustrator in 1843. A thousand copies were made and sold for a shilling each.

The hanging of mistletoe is also a United Kingdom tradition. Each time a kiss is claimed under the mistletoe, a berry is pulled from the sprig. When all the berries are gone, the kisses end.
