Every Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox movie being released in 2019 – 2027
The Disney movie release lineup is constantly changing. Now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox, Disney has again shuffled the lineup around. Marvel has announced firm dates on a handful of movies.
Here is the complete look. Now, we have not included any of the Sony Pictures movies dealing with their future Marvel Spider-Verse movies.

Ad Astra – September 20, 2019
A paranoid thriller in space that follows Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) on a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe. The film also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Donald Sutherland and Jamie Kennedy.
Lucy in the sky – Oct. 4, 2019
After an awe-inspiring experience in outer space, an astronaut returns to Earth and starts to lose touch with reality in a world that now seems too small. Fox Searchlight is producing this film.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – Oct. 18, 2019
This sequel to “Maleficent” is about “a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora, Maleficent II continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.
JOJO Rabbit – Oct, 18, 2019
A World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
Ford v. Ferrari – Nov. 4, 2019
American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. It stars Christian Bale and Matt Damon.

Spies in Disguise – Dec. 25, 2019
This is a computer-animated comedy, produced by Blue Sky Studios, starring the voices of Will Smith, Tom Holland, Karen Gillan, Rashida Jones, DJ Khaled, Ben Mendelsohn, and Masi Oka. When an unexpected event puts the world in peril, Lance Sterling (Will Smith), the world’s greatest super spy, must team up with his gadget inventor Walter (Tom Holland) in order to save the day while disguised as a pigeon.
2020 Lineup
- January 10, 2020 – Underwater – Kristen Stewart stars. A crew of underwater researchers must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
- February 14, 2020 – The King’s Man – Ralph Fiennes stars in this prequel to the Kingsman series, set in the early 1900s.
- Feb. 21, 2020 – Call of the Wild – Based on Jack London’s 1903 novel, this live-action CGI-animated adventure version follows the story of a domesticated St. Bernard/Scotch Collie dog named Buck, who
is stolen from his Santa Clara, California home and sold to freight haulers in the Yukon. The film stars Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, Karen Gillan, Omar Sy, Terry Notaryand Bradley Whitford. - March 6, 2020 – Onward – In this animated Pixar film, two teenage elf brothers (Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world in order to spend one day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.
- March 27, 2020 – Mulan – The live-action adaptation of Disney’s Mulan, the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan. This stars Liu Yifei as Mulan.
- April 3, 2020 – The New Mutants – Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves. It is being touted as a horror film in the superhero genre. This will be the 13th and final installment in the X-Men film series.
- May 1, 2020 –Black Widow – The film stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. This is directed by Cate Shortland.
- May 15, 2020 – The Woman in the Window – This mystery, based on the novel by the same name, is about an agoraphobic child psychologist who witnesses a crime while spying on her neighbors, leaving her to determine whether or not to alert the police. The film stars Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Gary Oldman, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Fred Hechinger, and Anthony Mackie.
- May 29, 2020 – Artemis Fowl – This movie, being directed by Kenneth Branagh is a fantasy adventure based on the novel of the same name by Eoin Colfer. Twelve-year-old Irish criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II, alongside his trusted bodyguard Domovoi Butler, capture Captain Holly Short, a high-ranking LEP-RECON officer of a secret underground world filled with an assortment of magical creatures, to keep as
hostage in exchange for gold to restore the Fowl family fortune. - June 19, 2020 – Pixar’s Soul – The film takes you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.
- July 3, 2020 – Free Guy – This 20th Century Fox film is a science-fiction,
action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as a bank teller who discovers he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. - July 17, 2020 – Bob’s Burgers – A film based on the animated series.
- July 24, 2020 – Jungle Cruise – Based on the popular theme park ride, the film stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. A riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles, but with a supernatural element.
- August 7, 2020 – Empty Man – This 20th Century Fox release is based on Boom! Studios graphic novel. On the trail of a missing girl, an ex-cop comes across a secretive group attempting to summon a terrifying supernatural entity.
- August 14, 2020 – The One and Only Ivan is a Walt Disney Studios production. A gorilla named Ivan tries to piece together his past with the help of an elephant named Stella as they hatch a plan to escape from captivity.
- October 9, 2020 – The Death on The Nile – While on vacation on the Nile, Hercule Poirot must investigate the murder of a young heiress.
- October 23, 2020 – Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – This is a feature film adaptation of the musical about a teenager from Sheffield, England who wants to be a drag queen.
- November 6, 2020 – The Eternals – This Marvel movie focuses on The Eternals, who were created by Jack Kirby in the 1970s. They are a race of god-like beings locked in a conflict with the less evolved Deviants and their originators, the Celestials. Each of the immortals has various powers. The movie will star Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh
and Don Lee. The movie is being directed by Chloé Zhao. - November 6, 2020 – Ron’s Gone Wrong – From 20th Century Fox Animation, the story is about story of the wonderful walking, talking, digitally connected bot that sweeps the world becoming every kid’s new Best Friend. But when an 11-year-old boy ends up with one that doesn’t work, his attempts to teach it shows what real friendship means.
- November 25, 2020 – Raya and the Last Dragon – The movie is being written by Adele Lim, who wrote the popular “Crazy Rich Asians.” The film which follows Raya, a lone warrior from the fantasy kingdom of Kumandra who teams up with a crew of misfits in her quest to find the Last Dragon and bring light and unity back to their world. Awkwafina lends her voice to Sisu, the Last Dragon, who was left on Earth in case dark forces return to the world, and Cassie Steele voices the lead character, Raya.
- December 18, 2020 – West Side Story – Steven Spielberg directs a new adaptation of the Broadway musical.
- December 23, 2020 – Cruella– This live-action prequel features a young Cruella de Vil and starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson.
2021 Lineup
- February 12, 2021, Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings – This Marvel movie focuses on Master of Kung Fu Shang-Ch. Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Leung star in the film being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
- March 5, 2021 – Nimona
- March 12, 2021- Untitled Disney
Live Action - May 7, 2021 – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen star in the movie which Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said will be the first scary MCU film. The film is being directed by Scott Derrickson.
