‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ almost breaks Thanksgiving Weekend box office

Disney’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet” lead the Thanksgiving weekend box office earning $84.5 million domestically in its first five days, but came short of the record.

The opening day record remains with Disney’s “Frozen” which earned $95.3 million. Thanksgiving weekend has been good for Disney. Disney films own the top six spots on the all-time box office 5-day Thanksgiving Weekend list. They are – “Frozen,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Moana,” “Toy Story 2” “Coco” and “Tangled.”

Internationally, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” made $41.5 million for a $125.9 million global debut.

The first film, “Wreck-it-Ralph,” made a total of $471 million globally.
