New high-speed rail proposal includes a stop for Disney World

Virgin Trains USA, the train line now owned by British billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, is planning a Walt Disney World station, according to a recent SEC filing. 

The high-speed rail, formerly known as Brightline plans to expand its line from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to Orlando International Airport in 2021.

In addition, Virgin Trains USA is proposing to expand its train line from Orlando International to Tampa with a stop at Disney World, according to the document.

Preliminary construction between West Palm Beach and Orlando is already underway, according to TCPalm.com.

The map filed with the SEC filing just shows a possible future station stop. No other details were released.
