How holiday TV taping will impact Disney World schedule this week

Some changes to entertainment being provided will be taking place at the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as taping takes place this week for the three upcoming Disney holiday TV specials.

The taping will be taking place Nov. 9 through 11 at the parks, but there will be some impacts starting as early as Nov. 6. Here is the breakdown by park:

Animal Kingdom

Tuesday, Nov. 6 

  • Dug and Russell meet and greet moves to Discovery Island Stage across from Flame Tree

Wednesday, Nov.  7

  • Dug and Russell meet and greet moves to Discovery Island Stage across from Flame Tree
  • Winged Encounters, Viva Gaia, and Tree of Life Awakenings will not be performed

Magic Kingdom

Thursday, Nov. 8

  • (Welcome show) Let the Magic Begin will be audio only.

Friday, Nov. 9

  • (Welcome show) Let the Magic Begin will be audio only.
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire at the Cinderella Castle will not be presented.

Saturday, Nov. 10

  • (Welcome show) Let the Magic Begin will be audio only.
  • The Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party will not take place.
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire at the Cinderella Castle will not be presented.
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish castle lighting will not be presented.
  • Once Upon a Time castle projection show will not be presented.

Sunday, Nov. 11

  • Let the Magic Begin (Welcome Show) will be audio only.
  • The Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party will not be presented.
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire at the Cinderella Castle will not be presented.
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish castle lighting will not be presented.
  • Once Upon a Time castle projection show will not be presented.
