Changes announced for Epcot at Destination D
Disney will be adding more shows and updating more attractions over the next few years at Epcot in Walt Disney World,, Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek announced at D23’s Destination D 2018.
Here’s a look at what’s coming:
At the World Showcase, Chapek revealed that the Ratatouille attraction coming to the France pavilion will be called Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
In addition a new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along, created by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live action “Beauty and the Beast” films will be added.
In addition to the update of the China Pavilions 360- degree show the O Canada! 360-degree show will be updated.
For IllumiNations fans, Chapek announced an all-new, transformative spectacular set to debut in 2020. It will celebrate how Disney music can inspire people from around the world, featuring massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers.
But, Before that new show debuts, there will be a limited-time experience called Epcot Forever. Debuting in fall 2019 and set to classic Epcot tunes, the show includes fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and choreographed, special effects kites.
This is all in addition to the already announced Guardians of the Galaxy attraction and space restaurant opening next to Mission: Space.
