14 ‘snow’ locations at Disneyland Resort during the holidays

If it seems it never rains in southern California than snow would be completely out of the question unless you are talking about Disneyland.

This holiday season you’ll be able to experience some snow sightings at Disneyland from now through Jan. 6, 2019.

Here’s a look at 14 locations at the resort you will find “snow:”

1. “it’s a small world” Holiday: The winter version of the classic ride has sparkling snowflakes, snowy hills and frosted rooftops.

2. “A Christmas Fantasy” parade: Anna, Elsa and Olaf wave from their “Frozen” float and Chip and Dale scurry around Santa’s snow-covered mail room.

3. “Believe … in Holiday Magic:”  The finale of the fireworks spectacular has a special magical snowfall at “it’s a small world” Holiday, the Rivers of America and Main Street, U.S.A.

4. Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle: The castle has shimmering icicles, twinkling lights and snow-capped towers .

5. Haunted Mansion Holiday: When “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” takes over the Haunted Mansion you’ll find snow-covered gravestones and pumpkins galore.

6. Cars Land: Snowflakes hang over Route 66, a “snow car” greets guests at the entrance of Route 66.

7. Matterhon Bobsleds: When the Matterhorn re-opens you’ll sled through snow and past the Abominable Snowman.

8. “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion;” comes complete with dashes of “snow.”

9. Holiday treats:  Not only can you see the “snow,” you can also “eat” it. Try the Snowman Shortbread Cookie from the Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart.

10. Gingerbread house: At the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa you can see the gigantic 7-by-12 foot gingerbread house, crafted by pastry chefs in the likeness of the hotel itself. It’s topped with “snow” made from 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 12 gallons of egg whites, 250 pounds of fondant and one pound of “pixie dust.” There are also 25 hidden Mickeys in the display.

11. Minnie Mouse headband:  Celebrate in style with a snowflake fashion statement.

12. Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome: You can meet Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” at a frosty spot reminiscent of winter in Arendelle, and visit beloved snowman Olaf nearby in Hollywood Land.

13. Soarin’ Around the World: Take an airborne adventure over the snowy Swiss Alps, Arctic wildlife and icy ocean scenery.

14. Grizzly Peak: Take a walk through the area after dusk and you might experience an occasional snowfall.
