New southbound flyover ramp at Magic Kingdom to open Oct. 16
The new southbound flyover ramp near the Magic Kingdom entrance will open Oct. 16, 2018, two months after the northbound ramp opened.
The new ramp will take all southbound vehicles on World Drive over the entrance area and should help streamline the traffic.
Currently, if you are heading south on World Drive you need either to make a right on Seven Seas Drive and then left on Floridian Way to exit the area, or drive south toward the Magic Kingdom entrance and make a left on to Vista Boulevard.
This should ease the traffic congestion on Seven Seas Drive and allow cast members, guests and provide Disney buses a more direct path to World Drive and cut down on time it takes to leave the Magic Kingdom.
The new flyover project is part of a number of road projects taking place at Disney World to help ease congestion, such as the new entrance off of Osceola Parkway to Hollywood Studios.
