15 times Mickey Mouse made cameos in films

Mickey Mouse has not only starred in over 130 cartoon shorts and full-length films since his debut on Nov. 18, 1928, but has made cameo appearances in numerous films you might not have noticed.

While the most famous cameo is in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,”  where Mickey appears skydiving next to Bugs Bunny, there are at least 14 other movies where Mickey shows up, sometimes in the shadows.

You could almost say he was a Hidden Mickey.

Here are the some of the more fun Mickey Mouse cameos:

A Goofy Movie: There are three times Mickey shows up. The first time he is in the audience of students at Max’s high school’s assembly. He then can be seen hitchhiking with Donald Duck during the song “On the Open Road.”  A Mickey Mouse phone is seen in Max’s bedroom

Aladdin and the King of Thieves: Mickey as Steamboat Willie makes a cameo appearance as Genie transforms.

Mickey Mouse can be seen in American Werewolf in London.

An American Werewolf in London: Two Mickey figurines are seen in Alex’s apartment: on an octagonal table and on a bookshelf. There is also a poster of Mickey in her hallway and at the hospital.

Chicken Little: Melvin shows off this three-eyed Mickey Mouse watch.

Frozen: A Mickey plush can be seen in the stocks of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna as Princess Anna is gathering her winter wear.

Oliver & Company: Fagin is shown to have a Mickey Mouse watch.

Teacher’s Pet: In the end credits Mickey makes an appearance posing with the Herlperman family in a photo of a trip they took to Walt Disney World.

The Lion King 1½: Mickey makes a brief, non-speaking cameo in the form of a silhouette during the film’s finale.

The Little Mermaid: Look closely at the beginning of the film in the crowd od merpeople who are waiting for Ariel and her sisters to perform a concert. You will find Mckey, Donald and Goofy.

The Rescuers Down Under:  Mickey is seen on Percival C. McLeach’s watch.

Toy Story: A Mickey Mouse wall clock can be seen in Andy’s bedroom.

Toy Story 2: A clip of “Mickey and the Beanstalk” is seen on TV.

Trail Mix-Up: In this Roger Rabbit short Mickey Mouse is seen as a bee.

Wreck-It Ralph: A billboard with artwork of Mickey can be seen in the background of Litwak’s Arcade.

Zootopia: Aplush of Mickey is seen in a stroller passing Nick Wilde and Finnick.
