13 photo opportunities for Halloween Time at Disneyland

The Disneyland Resort is all dressed up for Halloween as Halloween Time kicks off at the resort from Sept. 7 through Oct. 31, 2018.

If you are planning to attend here are 13 photo opportunities not to miss.

1. Meet Vampirina: For the first time at the Disneyland Resort, Disney Junior star Vampirina will greet guests and take photos with them in California Adventure Park in front of “Disney Junior Dance Party!”

2.  Buena Vista Street: At California Adventure, Buena Vista Street is decked out for Halloween Time with Oogie Boogie looming over the park’s entrance marquee and the haunting Headless Horseman statue across from Carthay Circle Restaurant.

3. Main Street, U.S.A.: What Halloween Time photo is more classic than the Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern on Main Street, U.S.A.?

4. The Haunted Mansion Holiday with Jack Skellington and Sally: Jack Skellington and Sally will be around New Orleans Square near the Haunted Mansion for photos.

5.  Halloween portrait with Mickey Mouse and friends: The “Fab Five” – Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto – will be sporting their Halloween costumes along Buena Vista Street at California Adventure.

6. Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy photo: The on-ride photo of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy at Disneyland  will show the spirits surrounding the rocket ship.

7. Return to The Collector’s Fortress after dark: The Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, returns for theholiday and the Fortress make a great backdrop for a photo.

8.  Radiator Screams in Cars Land: Radiator Springs turns into Radiator Screams for the “Haul-O-Ween” season.  Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree make good backgrounds for photos.

9. Cars in their “car-stumes”: Lightning McQueen, Mater and friends have dressed up in their “car-stumes.” Mater is dressed up as a “van-pire,” Lightning as a super hero, Cruz Ramirez as a pirate, Red the Fire Truck as a clown and DJ as a punk rocker.

10. The food: We all do it. Accept it. Embrace it. And have fun with it. Some of the new foods are photogenic such as the sweet potato hand pie, chocolate graveyard sponge cake and layered pumpkin cheesecake.

11. Selfies with souvenirs: The Cauldron Premium Popcorn Bucket and Green Poison Apple Stein are just two possibilities.

12: The Grand pumpkin display: Head over to the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where this is a  pumpkin patch built out of cereal treats, 200 pounds of icing, 100 pounds of chocolate and 300 pounds of fondant. The display is 15 feet tall and 12 feet wide inside the lobby of the hotel.

13. Your favorite pumpkin: Downtown Disney has 17 different types of pumpkins in a number of styles, with more than 2,150 pumpkins and squash on display.
