Mickey Mouse’s movie roles
Mickey Mouse may be one of Hollywood’s biggest icons, but his movie career has been … well, let’s call it spotty.
As a leading mouse in a major motion picture, Mickey is probably best known for his second role as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice in 1940’s “Fantasia.” Besides that, his resume is full of cameos, Christmas movies, direct-to-video releases — and one sequel.
As far as we’re concerned, Mickey is due for a comeback.
Here’s a rundown of Mickey’s 11 full-length movies:
- Hollywood Party (cameo, 1934)
- Fantasia (above, 1940)
- Fun and Fancy Free (1947)
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit (cameo, above, 1988) — the only time Mickey shared the screen with Bugs Bunny.
- A Goofy Movie (cameo, 1995)
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas (above, 1999)
- Fantasia 2000 (1999)
- Mickey’s Magical Christmas (2001)
- Mickey’s House of Villains (above, 2002)
- Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004)
- Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas (2004)
