Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at Disney World closed for refurbishment
The Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World, which has been enclosed under a tent for the past few months, is now closed for refurbishment.
The carousel is expected to re-open July 31, 2018.
For the past few months, the carousel has been under a tent as work has been taking place. Disney has not said what type of refurbishment is taking place.
The classic wooden carousel might be the oldest attraction at Walt Disney World. It was originally built outside of Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1917 for Belle Isle Park in Detroit.
It later spent nearly 40 years known as the Liberty Carousel at Olympic Park, a now defunct amusement park in New Jersey.
