Disneyland announces 2018 holiday offerings
Disneyland’s holiday season will take place Nov. 9, 2018, through Jan. 6, 2019 and will honor the sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas/Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day.
The snow falling down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland will return, as will the holiday overlays on ride favorites like âitâs a small worldâ Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Here’s a look at what will be happening at both parks.
California Adventure
⢠Festival of Holidays will again nclude the âDisney ¡Viva Navidad!â street party and  Festive Foods Marketplaces.
⢠At Cars Land, holiday decorating begins with the whimsical âSnowcarâ that greets guests on the road to Radiator Springs. Each address along Route 66 â Floâs V8 Café, Fillmoreâs Taste-In, Cozy Cone Motel, Luigiâs Casa della Tires and more â also gets a holiday makeover that reflects the personality of its âCarsâ character resident. Two attractions will get holiday overlays –  Luigiâs Joy to the Whirl and Materâs Jingle Jamboree.
⢠Santa Claus will at Santaâs Holiday Visit at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
⢠A 50-foot Christmas tree will be located at Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street. The tree and surrounding buildings will be decorated with vintage-style ornaments.
Disneyland
⢠Sleeping Beautyâs Winter Castle enchants from day to night with its shimmering icicles and twinkling lights.  The âBelieve ⦠in Holiday Magicâ fireworks will be taking place nightly.
⢠Mickey, Minnie, Disney Princesses and Santa celebrate the season in âA Christmas Fantasyâ parade, a daily procession with floats, music and marching âtin soldiers.â
⢠The 60-foot tall Christmas tree is placed in Town Square, Main Street, U.S.A. filled with nearly 1,800 ornaments.
⢠âitâs a small worldâ becomes âitâs a small worldâ Holiday with dolls and toys representing children around the world enjoying the distinctive holiday traditions of their countries.
⢠Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday,* with Jack Skellington and his friends from Tim Burtonâs âThe Nightmare Before Christmasâ causing a collision between Christmas and Halloween.
Downtown Disney
The shopping, dining and entertainment district and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort also join in the holiday festivities with twinkling lights and ornaments, holiday displays, special entertainment and holiday-inspired eats and treats.
