Disney World cast members react to riding the new Slinky Dog Dash coaster
Various cast members at Walt Disney World have gotten the opportunity this week to test ride the new Slinky Dog Dash coaster at Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios and walk around parts of the new section of the park.
his new 11-acre land is themed from Toy Story movies and opens June 30, 2018, at Hollywood Studios. Guests feel like they have shrunk to the size of a toy. The Slinky Dog Dash is the big roller coaster assembled from Andy’s Mega Coaster Play Kit and combined with a number of other toys. Slinky Dog bends and twists his coils around curves, hills, bridges and drops as riders zip around Toy Story Land.
None of the cast members were allowed to take in photos or electronic devices so, no photos or videos of the ride, but here are their reactions.

Best part of today’s preview? No phones allowed. Seeing cast members riding something with no selfies, no vloggers, just pure joy on faces.

Had the privilege of riding Slinky Dog Dash today. Had a great time! A lot faster and taller than I was expecting. Good addition to DHS with the direction they have decided to go. Toy Story Land felt like Toy Story Mania indoor queue but outside on a larger scale.

Slinky Dog Dash is an enjoyable coaster. Just unique enough compared to the others at WDW. I was only a little nauseated after the first pass. Best part was the view of Galaxy’s Edge.

Toy Story Land is adorable and Slinky Dog Dash is equally cute. It has a kick to it and is a decent length. Excited to try it again tomorrow #ToyStoryLand #SlinkyDogDash

Rode Slinky Dog Dash today w/ other CMs! It’s a cute coaster in a nicely themed land (very similar to Hong Kong’s Toy Story Land if you’ve seen that—was glad to see we got the popsicle stick benches!) SDD is also nice alternative for those too short/ too scared to do RnRcoaster.
