6 aerial construction photos of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in May

The berms surrounding Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios are nearly complete with trees planted on top as construction continues.

We are still over a year a way for the opening of the new land at Disney World and foundations are still being constructed for new structures.

The land, which is also being constructed at Disneyland, will be completely immersive. Guest will go to the planet of Batuu, where Star Wars characters and their stories will come to life. The main entrance to the area is from the new Grand Avenue area of Hollywood Studios. Another entrance will be from the new Toy Story Land, scheduled to open this summer.

Two major attractions anchor the new land. On one ride you fly the Millennium Falcon on an adventure. The second attraction puts you in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

Here are a half dozen photos taken in early May by @bioreconstruct,  who has been following the construction. The Twitter account has great photos of constrution all around Orlando, and is worth following.
