Salt & Straw ice cream shop coming to Disneyland’s Downtown Disney
Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District is getting a new ice cream shop later this year.
Salt & Straw will be opening its first ice cream scoop shop in Orange County. The family-run company, co-founders and cousins Tyler and Kim Malek, is known for its imaginative ice cream creations.
“We are so excited to announce that we’ll be opening a scoop shop at Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort later this year! A dream come true for us, our first Orange County location will feature our signature small-batch ice cream creations plus exclusive new flavors inspired by the Downtown Disney District’s spirit of joy and imagination,” the company announced on its Instagram account.
Every ice cream flavor is handmade in small batches using local, organic and sustainable ingredients. Special offerings will be available seasonally.
No date has been set yet. The Disney Parks Blog says construction is scheduled to begin soon.
