Dapper Days return to Disney World the end of April 2018
Dapper Days is returning to Disney World this April with a cocktail reception, a talk, a special pop-up boutique and weekend of just looking really good in the parks.
The annual spring event will take place Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29, 2018. The park outings will be April 28 at the Magic Kingdom and April 29 at Epcot.
Dapper Days is a celebration of style intended to showcase you at your best. It was started in February 2011 by Justin Jorgensen. “We do not aim to recreate a specific period. All sophisticated attire is encouraged from vintage-inspired classics to chic, contemporary looks. Active and retired military are encouraged to wear their dress blues or service uniforms if they like,” according to DapperDay.com
This is not meant for costumes or cosplay.
All usual forms of park admission to Walt Disney World will be required to attend Dapper Day.
Guests are invited to dress up a little or a lot and come out to participate. The event kicks off at The Edison in Disney Springs on Friday night from 7 to 10 p.m. Those who attend can enjoy special cocktails created just for the event, and browse through a selection of official Dapper Day merchandise at the entry.
A special pop-up boutique will be open on April 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Disney’s Grand Floridian Conference Center and will include new Dapper Day merchandise, as well as the Dapper Day and Charles Phoenix clothing collections from Pinup Girl Clothing.
Another new event for this year is a special talk from Phoenix, a pop culture humorist and author, as he takes his audience through a slideshow of photos from the early days of Disneyland. His presentation will include looks at mid-century Disneyland, as well as long-gone attractions like The House of the Future, Skull Rock, Skyway, Rainbow Caverns and more.
Phoenix will host his presentation at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. Tickets for the presentation are available here.
