Disney launches new Alice Pleasance lifestyle brand in Australia

Disney has launched a new lifestyle brand in Australia aimed at adults using one of its “original Disney princesses.”

The Alice Pleasance line includes clutches, wallets, luggage tags, assorted card sets, notebooks, pens and travel mugs. If the name Alice sound familiar, think of Alice in Wonderland. Alice Pleasance Lidell was the inspiration for the Alice character.

“We were thinking about how to leverage the many Australian women who really love Disney stories and characters and how to bring them to life through products in a way that was relevant to them,” Kylie Watson-Wheeler, managing director of Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, told Australia’s news.com.

Watson-Wheeler said this is the first Disney brand to be created specifically for adults. “Alice Pleasance is a brand for women who are willing to take a chance on the unexpected, escape from the mundane and have the confidence to take a leap down the rabbit hole. Alice Pleasance offers a sophisticated range of stationery and lifestyle products that are playful and whimsical in design,” according to the company’s website.
Additional products are now in development.
