Is Disney sticking a fork in the WDW-DINE reservations number?
For years the way to make reservations for restaurants at Walt Disney World was to call 407-WDW-DINE.
The phone number was the go-to solution, even when advance dining reservations were once called priority seating. Now, Disney would rather you not call.
“Beginning today, due to their overwhelming popularity, the My Disney Experience app and DisneyWorld.com will become the preferred home for booking and modifying table service dining reservations,” Disney announced on the Disney Parks Blog last week.
That doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to call. “Rest assured, as always, cast members at the Disney Reservation Center will continue to be available to help with reservations for groups of eight or more, same-day cancelations, in addition to other assistance guests may need, including Disney Resort hotel reservations, special offers, general questions and more,” the announcement stated.
However, the number, which was something on all promotional materials and commonplace and on the Disney World website, is no longer listed on the site.
I called the number and it is still operational, though, it does recommend making any reservations and changes on the website or My Disney Experience app.
