Candlelight Processional kicks off at Disney World today

Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez kicks off the holiday season at Epcot tonight as the first narrator in the Candlelight Processional in Disney World.

The Candlelight Processional is an annual tradition at the Disney World featuring the retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a large choir. It is held at the America Gardens Theatre outside the American Pavilion at Epcot.

This is the first time Hernandez will be appearing at this event.

From Nov. 24 to Dec. 30, 2017, there will be 13 different narrators. Showtimes take place three time each day at 5 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
