Disney World bringing back FerryTale Fireworks cruises for December and January

Disney World is bringing back the FerryTale Fireworks dessert cruise this December and January.

This trip offers a cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon aboard the General Joe Potter ferryboat, one of the transportation ferry boats, to watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom.

We did this when it was first introduced in 2015, so there could be a number of changes. But it started out with a glass of punch in specialty keepsake glasses at the Transportation and Ticket Center while waiting to board. Once you do board we found a number of dessert tables and bars with specialty drinks on the boat.

There was a Disney PhotoPass photographer to capture moments and to keep the kids and some adults busy while tooling around the lagoon was a scavenger hunt game on the ship. With special black light flashlights you needed to find a number of stamps on the ship.

Then when it is time, the boat gets into position for the fireworks.

If you are looking for something different and like being on water this works. Remember, you are not in the park, so you are seeing the fireworks from a distance. They do pipe in the music to go with the fireworks.

These Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise sailings are now being offered on Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10 and 15, 2017. And Jan. 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, and 28, 2018.

Cost is is $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9 (tax and gratuity included; discounts do not apply).
