As part of the Star Wars land 14-acre expansion, Disneyland relocated the Pope House, according to the Orange County Register.

The 1920s building was the home of Owen and Dolly Pope, who Walt Disney hired to train and care for the horses, mules and other animals that became part of the park, according to the newspaper.

The couple were the original managers of the Pony Farm , which turned into the Circle D Corral . Owen also built the harness and riggings for the horses for Disney World. In 1971, the couple moved to Florida and in 1975 Dolly became the first Disney World cast member to retired, followed by her husband, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
