Hollywood Studios at Disney World will be turned into Flurry of Fun for the 2017 holiday season
Hollywood Studios is going all out this year for holiday season, even getting its own logo – Flurry of Fun.
Starting Nov. 9, 2017, the holiday season returns to Disney World and the theme park which used to host one of the most fun events, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, is expanding its holiday offerings.
There will be enhanced holiday decor around Echo Lake with garlands and a giant Christmas tree centered on the water. Even Gertie the Dinosaur don a dino-Santa hat, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
There will be a new nighttime experience – Sunset Seasons Greetings – Sunset Boulevard is turned into Snowy Boulevard with holiday decorations and billboards along the side of the road will come to life with projections of Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters sharing their favorite Christmas stories. The Hollywood Tower Hotel will transform into a pile of Christmas gifts, a gingerbread house and a frozen winter wonderland throughout the night. And there are hints that Olaf may appear.
The nighttime holiday show “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” is returning with state-of-the-art projections, fireworks, special effects and Christmas music.
Santa Claus will return to the Once Upon a Time shop on Nov. 9 through Dec. 24 and Santa Goofy will step in Dec. 25 to 31after Santa Clause returns to the North Pole.
