Echo Lake at Hollywood Studios is now a dirt pit

Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios is now a dirt pit.

The area is in the middle of a refurbishment which should have it up and running again by the end of October.

The lake area has been drained completely and the trees that were in a center island of the lake area have been cut down.

The famed Disney World Dinosaur Gertie will be repainted as well as Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner. The two locations will remain open while the refurbishment takes place. Echo Lake will be receiving some enhanced holiday decor this Christmas season with garlands and a giant Christmas tree centered on the water. Even Gertie the Dinosaur don a dino-Santa hat.
