Aerophile balloon at Disney Springs is expected to be back in the air late this week
Workers have prepared The Aerophile tethered balloon at Disney Springs to again be inflated, but it might not ascend again until the end of this week.
The balloon, which rises 400 feet in the air to give a 360-degree view of Disney World, was close Sept. 6, 2017 for Hurricane Irma.
It was expected to back in the air by Sept. 14 but helium delivers were placed on a hold for a little while due to the storm, people familiar with the running of the balloon said.
The balloon will be refilled with helium later this week, no specific date has been announced.
But, don’t expect to stop by and watch the balloon be inflated. The optimal time to do the work is overnight, that is the best flight conditions, we were told.
