Disneyland’s Guardians of the Galaxy ride is getting a Halloween makeover
Disneyland is transforming another attraction for Halloween. And this is one that just opened.
The attraction picks up after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
The ride description is as follows: “The Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, but they have accidentally left Groot behind! Rocket enlists you to distract the creatures that have been released so he can find and rescue his little buddy. While The Collector’s ever-resourceful assistant, Apheta, may try to assure you that it is all just a momentary setback, we advise you to proceed with caution!”
“The Monsters After Dark story hinges on irreverence, on top of the irreverence that’s already in the attraction,” Joe Rohde, creative executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, said. “It’s creepy, chaotic and very funny.”
Music plays a large role in the attraction and the song for the ride “Monsters After Dark,” was written especially for the attraction by Tyler Bates, composer for the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films.
The attraction changeover joins the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy for Halloween Time from Sept. 15 through Oct. 31.
