Disneyland adding 455 parking spaces in anticipation of new Star Wars themed land
Disneyland is planning on adding 455 parking spaces to its Tory Story Lot in anticipation of the of the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land opening in 2019.

While this will increase the lot to 5,379 parking spaces, it most likely will not be enough and Disneyland will need to find other ways to expand its parking, the OC Register reports.
In a move that will help prepare for the expected onslaught of visitors to its “Star Wars” land opening in two years, Disneyland Resort is adding more parking spaces to its off-site parking lot.
At peak times the lot plus the 10,000-spot Mickey and Friend parking structure are filled, leaving guests to go to nearby GardenWalk or the Anaheim Convention Center, or even the employee parking.
Parking is so precious in the area that Downtown Disney changed its parking policy earlier this month as well.
To handle the influx, Disneyland proposed in 2016 to build a 7-story 6,800 space parking structure on the east side of Harbor Boulevard and building a pedestrian bridge to get people to the parks.
