Disney Wold to display Star Wars: Galaxy Edge and Toy Story Land models
Starting in September a never before seen model of Toy Story Land, as well as a portion of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge model will be on display at Hollywood Studios in Disney World.
The One Man’s Dream attraction is being updated now, while it will continue to showcase Walt Disney’s history it will also include “concept art, ride vehicle maquettes and a never-before-seen model for Toy Story Land. A portion of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge model also will be on display, as well as concept art for the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction,” according to the Disney Parks Blog.
No specific date has been announced.
Hollywood Studios is going through huge transformation. On Aug. 13, The Great Movie Ride will close to make way for the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction.
Construction has been ongoing for both Toy Story Land and the separate Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land. Toy Story Land is scheduled to open next year while the Star Wars land will open in 2019.
No model has been show for Toy Story Land, only some concept art . A huge model of the Disneyland version of Star Wars land was released at the recent D23 Expo 2017 in Anaheim, Disneyland. While it was explained at the D23 Expo that the lands will look exactly alike, there will of course be some differences on the entryways to the park. It will be interesting to see what portion of the model will be shown.
