Earlier this week, we reported that the vehicle had arrived. A photo of it was taken by @Eftelflags and posted on Twitter.

The coaster will be part of the new 11-acre Toy Story Land. This section of the park is supposed to make guests feel as if they’ve shrunk tot he size of a toy in Andy’s backyard.

“We’ve tried to put the slinkiness into the track,” Bob Vignec, staff project engineer for Toy Story Land, said. “The vehicles and the track are melded together to act both for a fun effect for people on it and a big kinetic effect for the people who are watching it.”

The final piece of track for the ride was installed at the beginning of August.
The ride vehicle looks exactly like the Slinky Dog character in the Toy Story movies. The Slinky Dog Dash coaster will send riders dipping, dodging and dashing around turns and drops that Andy has created to stretch Slinky and his coils to the max.

This attraction will be joined by the Alien Swirling Saucers. This three-eyed green aliens are circling their flying saucers pulling along rocket ships full of guests. This sounds similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at California Adventure in Disneyland.

The new land will also include the popular Toy Story Mania! attraction.

In 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is expected to open at Hollywood Studios.
