Is Tron Lightcycle ride coming to Disney World? Here’s the latest
For years many people have voiced concerns that it was time to retire the aging Tomorrowland Speedway in the Magic Kingdom. Now it looks like this original attraction may be replaced by TRON Lightcycle Power Run.

WDW News Today, is reporting that TRON Lightcycle Power Run is rumored to open before the park’s 50th birthday.
The rumor of change has been around for a while and WDW News Today says that it has a number of sources within the company that says this will happen and could be announced at the D23 Expo this weekend.
The TRON Lightcycle Power Run opened June 16, 2016 in Shanghai Disneyland. It’s a semi-enclosed steel roller coaster based on the Tron series. Guests hop on their own light cycle and reach speeds of over 60 mph
The Speedway opened Oct. 1, 1971 was the Grand Prix Raceway and expanded in 1973. The gas powered cars accelerate up to 7 mph.
