The 2017 summer schedule of youth sports at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World

Summer time at Disney World not only sees an increase in crowds at the parks but it is also the high season for youth sports.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will see more than 79,000 athletes competing across 19 sports from tournaments to camps to various training events. Disney is also launching a new soccer-training program presented by LaLiga.

Here is a look at what’s coming in 2017:


June 1-4: An open house for the start of the new soccer-training program.

More than 24,000 athletes are expected to compete in the 44th AAU Girls’ 
Junior National Volleyball Championships this summer at ESPN  Wide World
of Sports Complex in Disney World .

June 9-11: Softball comes to the complex with the Diamond 9 Sun Classic Summer Showcase

June 11-16: AAU Wrestling Scholastic Duals 

June 14-16: 44th AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships where more than 2,300 teams compete for national titles in various age groups. With nearly 24,000 athletes, it is the largest event to take place at the sports complex this summer.

June 17-24: AAU Summer Baseball

June 25-July 8: Disney International Salute to Baseball

June 27-July 1: USA Jump Rope

July 5-30: AAU Basketball National Championships for boys and girls. Some 80 teams featuring many of the nation’s highest-ranked players, will compete for national titles and showcase their skills to top college basketball coaches.

July 7 -9: AAU Primary National Track & Field Championships

July 8-15: USSA Fast Pitch World Series I

July 10-16: Disney Cup International presented by AS Roma

July 15-22: USSA Fast Pitch World Series II

July 27-30: Challenge 3v3 National Championship

July 28-Aug. 5: USSSA Baseball Week II
July 31-Aug. 3: World Futsal Championship. For those unfamiliar wit Futsol, the game is aversion of soccer played indoors and on a hard court.

Aug. 19-20: Disney Pre-Season Soccer Kick-Off presented by AS Roma will showcase teams from more than 30 countries, including teams from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico.

Sept. 1-4: Disney Labor Day Baseball Classic
