For those of you not familiar with this, it allows you to make FastPass+ selections, view park hours, attraction wait times, purchase tickets, access PhotoPass photos, has park maps and gives directions while in the park.
It looks as though Disney’s mission was to standardize the app among all of its parks around the world. In doing so it has changed the look of the app and has added some new functionality.
New functions in the app include:

  • A new  “Spotlight”section highlights new park experiences and entertainment offerings.
  • And when you stay at one of our Disney resorts, you will be able to use the new feature called
  • A new “My Resort Dashboard,” for those staying at a  Disney resort. It hold resort reservation details in one place, including the ability to see room number, theme, building and floor once you have your room assignment. It even provides directions to your resort using Disney transportation options, a map showing you the location of your room and a link to directly call the Resort Front Desk if you need further assistance during your stay.
