Hot Topic and Torrid debut a new Beauty and the Beast collection

The live action remake of “Beauty and the Beast” may well usher in a new era of romantic fashion — all floral embroidery, flowing capes and swirling gold.

Macy’s already has introduced a Beauty and the Beast collection that’s heavy on ruffles and flourishes, and now there’s a new line from Hot Topic and Torrid that draws inspiration from the new movie. You’ll find a short version of Belle’s gold ball gown and her red cape, plus patterns drawn from the movie — all in a wide range of sizes. And this time, your Beast won’t be left out: The collection includes an embroidered blue velvet suit jacket for men.
