Disneyland and Disney World are getting special sneak peek preview of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Feb. 10

Disneyland and Disney World will show a special preview from the upcoming live-action version of the 1991 animated classic “Beauty and The Beast” starting in February.

In addition to the sneak peek, which starts Feb. 10, 2017, will be a collection of props and costumes used in the film. The film is scheduled for release March 17, 2017.

The preview will be held at the California Adventure park, in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land. Hollywood Studios will host the preview in Florida at the One Man’s Dream attraction, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

The film stars Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s father; Josh Gad as LeFou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Ewan McGregor as Lumière, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, the wardrobe; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Hattie Morahan as the enchantress; and Nathan Mack as Chip, the teacup; with Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

The movie, is directed by Bill Condon and includes the songs from the original as well as some new songs from Alan Menken and Tim Rice. Mencken wrote the original songs with the late Howard Ashman. The animated movie won received Oscar for Best Original Song and Best Original Score. It also made history by becoming the first full-length animated movie to be nominated for Best Picture.


The film focuses on Belle, a young woman who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle in exchange for the freedom of her father Maurice. She befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and soon learns to love the Beast. However, a hunter named Gaston is on the loose to “woo and marry” Belle. But Gaston gets the villagers in the town to go down and hunt the Beast and kill him at any cost.
